Why I Picked It: If I'm completely, perfectly honest, my Mom suggested it. You can read about the events the song is based on here, but I'm mostly impressed by the way he manages to convey that feeling of despair and wanting to take matters into one's own hands. Also, quite amused by this little snippet from wikipedia:

"In 2009, Cockburn performed the song for Canadian troops in Afghanistan; he was subsequently presented (temporarily) with a rocket launcher."

I don't think any son-of-a-bitches died, though.

Oh My GOD...When I was as a student, this was one of the songs I listened to almost every fucking day...
